From the FARMERS MARKET FEDERATION OF NY:
Governor Cuomo has announced that all COVID restrictions for farmers markets are now lifted! In honor of the state reaching the goal of 70% vaccinated, he has lifted all COVID restrictions for many industries, including food retail. That means we are free to open our markets to everyone, include all events, kids programming, food and nutrition cooking demonstrations, sampling, and all other means of serving our customers and our communities!
Per NYS, venues and businesses are allowed to continue any guidelines they feel important.
Also, per CDC, unvaccinated are to continue wearing masks. Otherwise, all restrictions are now lifted.
Congratulations to all our farmers markets! You have been essential since day 1 and served our communities throughout the pandemic.
You are free to return to your programs, services, events and normal operations. Congratulations and Thank You for enduring and continuing to bring a bit of normalcy to everyone’s lives throughout the pandemic.
